UBS
A
phenomenal group of UBS interns recently brightened up the
day for 40 children in the summer program at a Hoboken youth
services organization. Volunteers led the children in relay
races, craft projects, an internet scavenger hunt, and
taught them the value healthy eating and an active lifestyle
through nutrition workshops. Thanks so much to UBS interns
for spending a summer Friday volunteering with a Jersey
Cares partner agency!
BASF
Volunteers Beautify a Youth Shelter
Proudly
sporting blue t-shirts emblazoned with the BASF logo, 77
employee volunteers from offices in New Jersey, Louisiana,
Texas, Michigan, North Carolina, Germany and Mexico
descended upon a local youth shelter to really make a
difference in the community. BASF employees planted both
vegetable and flower gardens, painted new line games outside
and new canvas murals inside, refinished an outdoor wooden
patio set and spent time with the youth residents teaching
financial literacy. Thanks so much to BASF for bringing such
an amazing group of volunteers!
ADP
Volunteers Paint New Line Games, Lead Nutrition Workshops
and Plant Flower Garden
A group
of ADP volunteers really brightened up a Newark elementary
school with a fresh coat of paint, beautiful flowers, and
their sparkling personalities as they taught fitness and
nutrition workshops for students in the 1st - 3rd grades.
Volunteers also painted a map of the United States and line
games in
the kids’ courtyard to encourage healthy activity and
physical fitness. Great job ADP!

New
York Jets Volunteers Revitalize Playground
Recently,
over one hundred employees of the New York
Jets organization, including head coach, Rex Ryan, renovated
an entire school playground and assembled brand new picnic
tables for a Newark high school. That same day, Goldman
Sachs employees painted hallway murals in a Hudson County
middle school and taught budgeting and financial
responsibility classes to local eighth graders.
Barclays
Volunteers Clean Shore Lines
A group
of employee volunteers from the Jersey City Barclays office
recently traveled to Sandy Hook to clean a portion of their
beach and shore line for the upcoming summer season.
Volunteers spent a few hours of their Saturday morning
clearing debris and then enjoyed a picnic lunch in the sand.
Thanks so much to Barclays volunteers!

Home Depot
Volunteers Paint Murals, Plant Flowers and Lead Soccer
Drills
Over 60
Home Depot volunteers recently spent the day revitalizing a
high school in Newark. Volunteers painted new murals,
touched up existing murals, planted new flowers and shrubs
in all the grass areas surrounding the school and cleaned
out the rose garden area to prepare for summer science
classes. Additionally, some soccer players from the Mexican
National Soccer Team participated in the project and lead a
soccer clinic with the boys and girls soccer teams. Great
job Home Depot!
