Project
Coordinator Positions
After you’ve
volunteered on two or more Jersey Cares
calendar projects, we invite you to join our
team of Jersey Cares Project Coordinators
(PCs). PCs volunteer in a leadership
capacity on our calendar projects and
provide organization and a team atmosphere
for every volunteer experience. We encourage
PCs to make a commitment to one specific
program usually once or twice monthly for
the span of 180 days (6 months). Project
Coordinators also fill the important role of
“Back-up Project Coordinator” when the
committed PC is not available.

Planning
Committee - Every November, Jersey
Cares counts on a dedicated group of
volunteers to lead the planning and
execution of our Annual Fall Fundraiser. We
are always looking for interested
individuals to solicit auction prizes,
ticket sales and new event
sponsors. The committee begins work every
June and the time commitment is flexible to
accommodate your schedule. Please contact
Siobhan Tiernan if you're interested
in joining our committee!
Jersey Cares Day Committee -
Every April, Jersey Cares counts on a
dedicated group of volunteers to lead the
planning and execution of Jersey Cares Day.
Volunteers lead sub-committees including
party planning, transportation,
registration, projects and recruitment.
Committee work begins in January and the
time commitment is flexible to accommodate
your schedule. Please contact
Siobhan Tiernan if you're interested
in joining our committee!
Annual Event
Team Leader Roles
Coat Drive -
Every fall, we recruit Collection Site
Leaders to organize coat collections at
offices, churches/temples, local police
departments, community centers and other
organizations throughout New Jersey for the
Jersey Cares Coat Drive.
Jersey Cares Day
- Beginning in February, we start recruiting
Team Leaders to bring groups of volunteers
to Jersey Cares Day. Volunteer with your
office, church, sorority/fraternity or just
a group of friends and family. Online
registration begins in February.
Frosty's Friends -
Every fall, we recruit Head Friends of
Frosty to manage teams of volunteers who
receive letters from kids in need. Teams can
be groups of friends, employees, families,
sororities/fraternities or any other group.
Our partner agencies help their children
write holiday wish letters and volunteers
like you send gifts in return. Volunteers
are welcome to participate as individuals as
well.
Mural Artists
Jersey Cares is always
looking for new Volunteer Mural Artists to
join our Mural Artist Program. Mural Artists
incorporate the requests of our agency
partners and then Jersey Cares recruits
volunteers to paint in the lines.
Professional training is not required - just
artistic ability. This is a great way for
volunteers with artistic talent to give back
to their communities while doing something
enjoyable. If you're interested in becoming
a Volunteer Mural Artist, please contact
Siobhan Tiernan in the Jersey Cares
office or complete an
online application now.
