 Project Coordinators Back To Main

  Project Coordinator Volunteer Position Description

After you’ve volunteered on two or more Jersey Cares calendar projects, we invite you to join our team of Jersey Cares Project Coordinators (PCs). PCs volunteer in a leadership capacity on our calendar projects and provide organization and a team atmosphere for every volunteer experience. We encourage PCs to make a commitment to one specific program usually once or twice monthly for the span of 180 days (6 months).  Project Coordinators can also fill the important role of “Back-up Project Coordinator” when a committed PC is not available.

Typical PC responsibilities include learning about Jersey Cares partner agencies and your volunteer project, coordinating project activities with Jersey Cares staff and participating volunteers, providing direction necessary to complete project activities at the site, communicating with stakeholders about the successes and/or challenges of the project, working with Jersey Cares staff, other PCs,  volunteers  and partner agencies to further develop relationships and to ensure success on future projects   and maintaining volunteer information on the Jersey Cares web-based database.

Benefits: Be part of a team of enthusiastic PCs. Develop relationships with supportive, active agency representatives. Gain skills and experience in leadership and project management. Become a key member of a strong network of volunteers, agencies, and Jersey Cares affiliations.
