Wednesday Weeders in Clifton

Farm Eco-Center in Clifton is an agricultural gem located right off major highways and in the shadow of a major metropolis. Take in the scenic views while you plant and grow with the produce around you! This is a learning opportunity for anyone with little to no experience in gardening, as well as the perfect project with someone honing in their green thumb. Opportunities will return after March.

Volunteer tasks include:

Morning Shift (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

  • Working with our native garden by ​maintaining garden beds, plants, weeding, composting, mulching, pruning trees, raking, turning soil and compost

Afternoon Shift (4:30 PM - 8:00 PM)

  • Assisting the farm manager with farming and crop production 



NEED-TO-KNOW:

  • Parents of volunteers ages 13-17 must sign waivers. 

  • Onsite site parking is available. 

  • Staff Member will be on site to greet volunteers and provide a brief orientation upon arrival. 

  • Volunteers should wear closed toed shoes and clothes they don't mind getting dirty!

Volunteer Guidelines: COVID-19

  • Please follow masking guidelines as set by federal, state, and local governments. Individual organizations may still require masks to be worn. 

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands

  • Clean and wash your hands before, during, and after volunteering for a minimum of 20 seconds. 

  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.

Waivers: All projects have non-negotiable age restrictions that are noted on the upper right side of each project description. If you meet the age restriction but are under 18, please have a parent or legal guardian complete the required youth waiver and bring with you to the project. Adults attending the project can expedite the registration process by printing the adult waiver in advance, sign and bring with you.
