What is ServiceWorks?

ServiceWorks – powered by AmeriCorps, the Citi Foundation, and Points of Light – is a groundbreaking, national program that uses volunteer service as a strategy to help 25,000 low-income young adults in 10 U.S. cities develop the skills they need to prepare for college and careers.

We share the belief that civic engagement and service leadership can be a pathway to success.

ServiceWorks will demonstrate that service can be an effective strategy to level the playing field for underserved young people, not only by decreasing the opportunity gaps they face but by increasing the likelihood that they will stay in school and find good jobs.
