Homeless Veterans: Stand Down in Newark
In times of war, combat units were removed from the battlefield to a place of relative security and safety to rest and recuperate. This allowed our troops to "Stand Down" and regroup, and a similar "Stand Down" is offered to our Homeless Veterans. Through the efforts of the Stand Down Committee, Veterans are able to get services and assistance, access their VA and other benefits, get food and clothing, connect with long term housing providers, and more.
You will be join a team of about 100 volunteers working to make a difference in the lives of our most honorable Americans! Volunteer will asssit in the following tasks:
