Donation Sorting in Short Hills

Volunteers are needed to sort and test donated eyeglasses into various categories, e.g. single vision, bifocal, readers. New Eyes empowers children and adults in the United States and overseas with the improved vision they need to pursue a better quality of life for themselves, their families and their communities. New Eyes recycles donated glasses for distribution worldwide. Help SEE the change!
Need-To-Know

  • Volunteers will receive a brief orientation upon arrival
  • Groups with intellectual and developmental disabilities are not eligible to participate during this set time as the work is extremely detailed. If you are a group with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, please contact Sally, sgolding@new-eyes.org, at New Eyes directly to set up your own volunteer times.

Waivers: All projects have non-negotiable age restrictions that are noted on the upper right side of each project description. If you meet the age restriction but are under 18, please have a parent or legal guardian complete the required youth waiver and bring with you to the project. Adults attending the project can expedite the registration process by printing the adult waiver in advance, sign and bring with you.
