Love to Draw? Volunteer and sketch murals for Jersey Cares projects throughout New Jersey

About the Mural Artist ProgramPainted mural in a NJ school

The Jersey Cares Mural Artist Program engages local artists in community service by granting them the opportunity to have their artistry displayed in nonprofit agencies, schools and community centers throughout New Jersey.

Mural painting projects are often the most popular and spectacular aspect of our programming and they are made entirely possible by the creativity and dedication of volunteer mural artists, on whom we depend to sketch murals in advance of painting projects. The value and overwhelmingly positive impact of these murals reverberate within these revitalized agencies for years to come. Specifically, they offer the seniors, children, and families, who are served by these agencies a refreshingly vibrant sense of renewal and optimism for the future.

Project Locations

Currently, most of our programming takes place locally in Bergen, Morris, Essex, Union, Passaic, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth and Hudson counties. However, as Jersey Cares continues to grow,  we are in need of new and enthusiastic mural artists in most areas to contribute their creativity to our ever-expanding programs.

Sketching can be done according to your schedule in advance of the mural painting project. The Jersey Cares Staff will coordinate with our agency partners to choose a convenient time for both of you.
