Marketplace in Mercer County
Volunteers are needed to assemble food orders, bag fruits and vegetables, inspect, sort and box food donations, take food inventories and label food supplies just to name a few. The Mercer Street Friends Food Bank channels 2.7 million pounds of food and groceries annually to a network of 80 local food pantries, shelters, soup kitchens, meal sites,schools, senior and disabled programs and low-income housing sites. Their food distribution and hunger prevention programs reach over 30,000 people who face the pain and indignity of hunger.
Need-To-Know
- Volunteers will receive a brief orientation upon arrival
- Ability to lift heavy boxes and move materials is a plus
- Being flexible is a plus as tasks may change based on necessity

Waivers: All projects have non-negotiable age restrictions that are noted on the upper right side of each project description. If you meet the age restriction but are under 18, please have a parent or legal guardian complete the required youth waiver and bring with you to the project. Adults attending the project can expedite the registration process by printing the adult waiverin advance, sign and bring with you.
