Care of The Park: Volunteer Engagement Committee
We need your help to examine how we engage with our local community to support the park – Essex County Branch Brook Park. The purpose of the Volunteer Engagement Committee is to advise and strategize on how we can increase the level of meaningful engagement. Under the guidance of the Vice President of Programs, this team is responsible for growing the pipeline of volunteers through prospecting/recruitment and retention efforts. Additionally, this team is responsible for assuring recognition for the volunteers who engage and demonstrate clear contributions to the park. Your help will be critical as we evaluate past successes and develop new processes for a variety of strategies including:

Meet once per month and tell us what you know.

Show your creative side and suggest new ideas for recruitment.

Required Skills

An outgoing personality to ‘meet and greet’ people in the community.

An ability to tap into creative ideas and resources.

A willingness to use technology to connect and engage new volunteers.

Strong communication skills.
