Paint and Polish in Newark
Lincoln School, built in 1916, is the oldest Newark Public School, built in the West Ward Vailsburg Section of the city bordering South Orange. The community is largely African-American, African, Haitian and Hispanics. Lincoln School is a Title I school and is part of the Abbott Program. Lincoln school has approximately 404 children from Pre K- to 8. Volunteers are needed to assemble MLK inspired crafts that will be donated to the students of Lincoln School. Volunteers are also needed to paint inspirational and academic murals throughout the school's hallways.
