Jersey Cares presents September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance, a day of “unity, empathy and service as an enduring and positive tribute to those lost and injured.” On Thursday, September 10, 2026 and Friday, September 11, 2026, in honor of the 25th anniversary, Jersey Cares volunteers will come together to strengthen a community deeply impacted by the events of September 11th, 2001. Join Jersey Cares and your neighbors as we dedicate a day of service to that which makes us great – each other.

IN-PERSON PROJECT OPTIONS

Kit Assembly in Livingston - Afternoon Session: Volunteers will create kits for First Responders throughout the state of New Jersey. Volunteers will contribute to both the creative elements and the assembly of each kit.

• Registration for this project is FREE.
• This event is appropriate for ages 4+.
• This event will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
• The last day to register for this project is Wednesday, September 9th.

Earth Keepers in Jersey City (Liberty State Park): Volunteers will support various gardening projects including weeding, mulching, clean-up, removing invasive botanical species, and planting - all with the backdrop of the NY City skyline.

• This event is appropriate for ages 12+.
• This event will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
