Earth Day Celebration in Jersey City
Celebrate Earth Day at Liberty State Park, a green oasis in the middle of Metropolitan northern New Jersey. The park offers miles of walkways for jogging, biking or rollerblading as well as numerous playgrounds for family picnics. Ferries are also available to visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Come do your part in helping replenish the earth as Liberty State Park prepares to give away 1,000 trees!
Volunteers are needed to aid in the distribution of the seedlings and to engage participants in the promotion of various environment stewardship projects including:
- Seedling care
- Tree planting tips
Volunteers should be comfortable speaking to people in public about a common interest - Liberty State Park & Environmental Stewardship.
