Shawmont Elementary School

The mission of the Shawmont Elementary School is to provide an outstanding neighborhood school education for students from many neighborhoods of the city. The daily expectations are that every student will achieve academic proficiency and responsible citizenship in a challenging, yet nurturing environment. Students, with the support of parents, teachers, staff, and administrators, will develop a love of learning, an appreciation of the arts and culture, technical proficiency, and personal competence.
