International Youth Organization/ NJ Youth Corps - Newark

The International Youth Organization has been dedicated to serving Newark at-risk youth and their families since 1970, and is one of the largest urban youth service organizations in New Jersey. IYO’s mission is to educate and empower disadvantaged youth and their families to take responsibility for themselves and their community. IYO’s expertise is in their experience providing counseling, education, training, and opportunities for Community Service and Service Learning that will empower at-risk youth to lead self-sufficient lives. IYO annually serves about 1350 youth and their families.
