Union County Department of Parks and Recreation

The Union County Park System is a rich and diverse one that encompasses 35 parks spanning over 6,764 acres. The Adopt-A-Park program encourages the public to become a part of the County’s continued commitment to excellence by helping to maintain and care for green space in their “own backyards.” It is designed to foster volunteer stewardship of the County's parkland through "adoption" of a particular park, section of park, lake or stream bank restoration project, picnic area, ball-field, trail or flowerbed. Specific projects are assigned depending on the group’s or individual’s expertise, desire and location preference whenever possible.
