Reindancer is dedicated to the empowerment of individuals with a range of emotional, physical, cognitive, and social special needs through the use of equine assisted activities and therapies. Founded in 2005, Reindancer provides equine assisted programs which are individually developed by a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of equine assisted psychotherapy experience. Equine assisted therapies help develop physical and psycho-social skills such as balance, posture, increased range of motion, flexibility, muscle strength, confidence, self-esteem, intellectual focus, patience, and facilitation of social/emotional connections. They offer year round programs for individuals with physical and emotional challenges including but not limited to cerebral palsy, autism, post traumatic stress syndrome (veterans), trauma injuries, Down's syndrome, and emotional disabilities. Many of our horses are rescues that have been lovingly retrained and given a new job. They are supported financially through student fees, private donations, grants, public funding sources and fundraising events.
