Educated and successful communities make decisions as a whole. These decisions effect all the members of the community and set examples for our children. The purpose of our advisory committee is to provide recommendations and ensure that the basic needs and resources for our shelter are up-to-date and in compliance; to get our community involved with their hearts, hands and minds; to create a compassionate and responsible animal shelter. Our mission is to protect the health and safety of our residents, to protect the health and safety of our residents' pets, and promote humane treatment of the animals in our township. Our goals are to make every effort to encourage the adoptions of healthy non-aggressive animals by the general public and other animal rescue organizations. We must ensure that all dogs and cats are spayed or neutered before adoption. Our committee plans to accomplish the above through local businesses and with the support of our town and our residents.
