Mobile Marketplace in Monmouth

Jersey Shore Dream Center's mission is to bring hope to the homeless, food to the hungry, and freedom to those experiencing addiction through Jesus.

They run a mobile food pantry and need help getting food to people in their community. Volunteers will ride alongside the Jersey Shore Dream Center's food truck to deliver nonperishable food, snacks, bread and more along different stops in Monmouth County.

NEED-TO-KNOW

  • You will need a car for this opportunity. Volunteers will be driving to different locations. You will not need to load your car with any items. Please arrive on time so that you do not get left behind.

  • ​ Volunteers will load the truck at the warehouse with various food items, toiletries and clothing. Also, they will unload the truck at distribution site then monitor and give away food to those in the community. They will then pack up the truck for at the end of distribution. Distributions happen at motels, senior centers, and care facilities through out the county.

  • ​Please note: Wear comfortable clothing/closed-toe shoes. Volunteers will be lifting 20-50 pounds and there are also long periods of standing.

  • ​Park in the back of the building and please enter through the left side of the garage.

  • ​Rain or shine on weekdays but not on the weekend.

Waivers: All projects have non-negotiable age restrictions that are noted on the upper right side of each project description. If you meet the age restriction but are under 18, please have a parent or legal guardian complete the required youth waiver and bring with you to the project. Adults attending the project can expedite the registration process by printing the adult waiver in advance, sign and bring with you.
