Marketplace in Newark (Angels on the Ground)

Angels on the Ground works to feed the homeless and food insecure every week. The members socialize with the guests and make them feel welcome and cared for. Volunteers will be asked to empty cars full of supplies, set up tables and supplies and serve guests. Then, they will be cleaning up, breaking down tables and repacking cars.

NEED-TO-KNOW

• ​Please wear appropriate attire for working outdoors.

• ​ There will be street parking available

• ​Come to the parking lot of the convenience store across from Lincoln park and ask for Linda

• Volunteers will be standing for 2 hours and there will be light lifting (~15 lbs)

• This is a rain or shine opportunity

Your willingness to serve with a bright smile and a sense of humor is what makes volunteering all the more easier.

Waivers: All projects have non-negotiable age restrictions that are noted on the upper right side of each project description. If you meet the age restriction but are under 18, please have a parent or legal guardian complete the required youth waiver and bring with you to the project. Adults attending the project can expedite the registration process by printing the adult waiver in advance, sign and bring with you.
