Franciscan Charities tends to the critical needs of the poor, provides tools to rise above poverty and support physical, emotional and spiritual healing. Their clients represent the most vulnerable members of society: the working poor, the homeless, the disabled, mothers, children, and the elderly. They believe in the dignity of a hot meal, the comfort of a safe space, and power of a kind word.

You can help support this organization by helping serve hot meals to the community. Volunteers will be asked to assist with the preparation of a daily meal including packaging desserts, cutting and wrapping bread, cutting vegetables and other duties to help with meal prep. On Thursdays help set up our free farm stand and help distribute free produce to up to 200 neighbors.

NEED-TO-KNOW

• ​Please wear closed toed shoes, long hair pulled back and possibly consider the weather for dress during distribution hours.

• ​ Franciscan Charities have a gated parking lot to accommodate drivers you can access from our 13th Ave entrance.

• ​Please Note: Volunteers may be asked to lift up to 15 lbs. Volunteers stand for most of the shift.

Waivers: All projects have non-negotiable age restrictions that are noted on the upper right side of each project description. If you meet the age restriction but are under 18, please have a parent or legal guardian complete the required youth waiver and bring with you to the project. Adults attending the project can expedite the registration process by printing the adult waiver in advance, sign and bring with you.
