Mothers Day Community Spa Day in Newark
Help serve food, usher community members and clean up at this amazing Mother's Day event.
Rock Nation focuses on the physical and spiritual needs of their internal church community as well as targeted areas of needs of their general community in which church members live, work and worship. They are focused on achieving the needs of the church's vision for their community: "To create a banquet for the community through God's direction, where people can be fed, clothed and provided with additional resources to promote healthier lifestyle practices. "
ASSIGNMENTS

Registration - Volunteers will be outside assisting with registration, waivers and bracelets for the free massage, hairstyling, and other sign-ups

Media - A volunteer who will be taking pictures and videos using their own phone (you can use a professional camera as well if you have one)

Logistics/clean-up - These volunteers will be ensuring trash cans are not overflowing, performing bathroom checks to clean and replenish supplies, also contain and clean up and accidental messes
NEED-TO-KNOW

The Rock Place asks that volunteers please wear family appropriate clothing. Wear comfortable & modest attire (no inappropriate nor revealing clothing).

When volunteers arrive, they will need to inform a staff member that they are a Jersey Cares volunteer. This event is not rain or shine.

For parking, volunteers will drive along East Kinney St, then will enter into a small black fence gate to the backyard/parking lot

There will be heavy lifting only for the logistics/clean up role. Volunteers who chose the media role may be standing standing for long periods of time. Lastly, for the registration role there will be both sitting or standing.
Your willingness to serve with a bright smile and a sense of humor is what makes volunteering all the more easier.

Waivers: All projects have non-negotiable age restrictions that are noted on the upper right side of each project description. If you meet the age restriction but are under 18, please have a parent or legal guardian complete the required youth waiver and bring with you to the project. Adults attending the project can expedite the registration process by printing the adult waiver in advance, sign and bring with you.
