Packing: Groceries for Seniors in Jersey City

Since the pandemic, AngelaCARES has been delivering 250-400 bags of groceries to seniors on a weekly basis! Come join AngelaCARES prepare, pack, and deliver groceries to homebound Seniors in the surrounding community. Volunteers that would like to help deliver will only have a minimum of 5 deliveries  throughout Hudson County. Whether you want to drive or not, there will still be plenty of work to be done.
 

Need-To-Know:

• Volunteers will receive a brief orientation upon arrival.

• Volunteers should wear clothes they feel comfortable working in.

• Volunteers should be both patient and flexible in each task.

• Street parking is available. 
  
   

Volunteer Guidelines: COVID-19

• Volunteers are asked to wear protective masks throughout the opportunity.  

• Social distancing guidelines are in place 

• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands

• Clean and wash your hands before, during, and after volunteering for a minimum of 20 seconds. 

• If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.

Waivers: All projects have non-negotiable age restrictions that are noted on the upper right side of each project description. If you meet the age restriction but are under 18, please have a parent or legal guardian complete the required youth waiver and bring with you to the project. Adults attending the project can expedite the registration process by printing the adult waiver in advance, sign and bring with you.
